It’s officially spring, which means it’s time to swap out our Winter grooming regime which featured heavier and intensive products to combat in favour of a spring regime, using lighter formulas, stronger SPFs and scents to enhance the season.
Over the past few months there have been some fantastic products released for us guys and without further ado, I give you my top Men’s spring grooming releases.
Inject some Vitamin C into your skin with Clinique’s latest 2-step Fresh Pressed system. Absolutely genius, the seven sachets of renewing powder cleanser turn from powder to liquid on contact with water. Then it’s onto the Daily Booster with Pure Vitamin C to firm, tone and smooth skin. I noticed a more boosted, cleaner and refreshed face after just one application. £25
Not sure about you guys, but Tommy Hilfiger’s original fragrance was one of the first I purchased when growing up. The limited edition tropics collection is everything I loved about the original Tommy, packed with mint, lavender and amber notes. £30
I mentioned about switching heavier winter products for lighter gel based products for spring. Lab Series, who I’ve featured before have released two fantastic gel-based products which deeply cleanses the skin without stripping natural oils and although lightweight, it hydrates and calms the skin as well as a heavier cream, leaving it looking mattified not greasy. £12.50 and £24.
Whether you get redness after clean shaving the face or neck area, I’d always suggest a good post-shave balm to restore the skin’s natural oils that have been stripped away. Hawkins & Brimble, a relatively new grooming brand to the market have created this excellent post-shave balm, which is all you could want out of a shaving balm. A thick consistency, instantly soothing and great smelling! Thank you Clodaugh at B Public Relations for introducing me to this one! £8.95
The Australian tanning brand has released a gradual tan for us guys! the foam, which gradually builds up to your desired colour, offers a masculine scent and is non-greasy, which means it absorbs into the skin quicker. Tip – If like me, you prefer keeping your bedsheets fresh than having a tan, why not put it on in the day and wash it off before bed. £13.99
Released exclusively in Boots from 26th April and nationwide from 24th May, Michael Kors Extreme Night is a bold new fragrance inspired by exploring new cities at night and the feeling that anything could happen after dark. If you’re into peppery notes, you’re going to love this one. Extreme Night also offers notes of nutmeg, sage and tonka bean, housed in this midnight blue bottle.
Time to protect our skin from those harmful UV rays! This light moisturiser by BULLDOG contains an SPF15 and nine essential oils and natural ingredients to hydrate and protect. £8
My inner gaming geek is freaking out about this one! GLAMGLOW has teamed up with everybody’s favourite blue hedgehog, Sonic to create this limited edition blue gravitymud firming mask. As great and as firming as the original I’ve featured previously, just a little bit more blue-ba-da ba-dee-aba-die. £39
I’ve started using anti-aging products and my start point has been the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair range. The range is designed to maximise the power of skin’s natural nighttime renewal with its exclusive ChronoluxCB Technology. The range also contacts an eye serum and mask-in-oil.
New from JOOP!, WOW! is bursting with floral, spice and citrus notes including, Violet leaves, Cardamon and Bergamot. There’s also a woody and Vanilla kick once it hits the skin. I’d recommend this as the perfect date night fragrance. £39
Another highly-hydrating gel to keep skin hydrated throughout the day and attend to tired skin, leaving it looking and feeling refreshed. Based on cell science, the water optimises the cells energy environment and boosts their activity – pretty impressive huh!? £37.50
